The use of Network Attached Storage (NAS) allows you to continue to use your Sonos™ System even if all of your PC's are switched off. NAS provides a convenient and inexpensive way to store and backup your music library and to locate it conveniently and securely. If you don't want your music to be interrupted by a rebooting PC, then the use of NAS is recommended.

SimplySonos tip: Sonos™ have designed the Zone Player to be air cooled without the use of a noisy fan which would interrupt your listening pleasure. For that reason, we recommend siting your PC or NAS device away from yor music zones. It is a lot easier to conceal a NAS device than a PC and NAS devices are a whole lot quieter than PC's
